The Dell Validated Design for urban mobility solution is designed to monitor vehicle and pedestrian behavior, and automatically detect suspected traffic incidents. The solution is designed for traffic violations detection, and collection and analysis of traffic flow monitoring data. The solution displays data based on digital maps and dashboards, traffic flow information, rapid response to changes in traffic flows, storing data in a single database, and generating reports. These capabilities provide an enhanced situational awareness to administrators.
The SecurOS solution modules support a variety of traffic violation detections and integration with automatic fine-generation systems.
The following are the key capabilities of the SecurOS traffic violation detection solution:
The following types of traffic violations can be detected:
Providing a high-level situational awareness is critical for smooth management of traffic incidents on the ground. A combination of SecurOS MCC, geographic information system (GIS), and dispatcher modules enables this situational awareness capability.
The GIS subsystem works as a top-level system. All events from VA are displayed on a digital map and are displayed in a unified user interface. The operator tasks are to:
In the response system, all events are analyzed to ensure that the required responses are sent to the appropriate response teams, as shown in the following figure. All business response processes are automated as much as possible. Typical incidents have a standard processing algorithm available to the response operator as prompts. After the initial processing by the response operator, the corresponding incident is sent to one or more appropriate teams for on-site response.
The onsite response team continues to work with the response system using mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, and so on). When the incident is cleared on site, a report is recorded in the system, and the incident is sent to the responsible operator for review and final closure.
