The following process creates a host object in PowerStore T:
- In PowerStore Manager, click Compute > Hosts Information.
- Click ADD HOST.
- In the Add Host wizard, enter the Host Friendly Name and Operating System. Click NEXT.
- Click the appropriate initiator type, and click NEXT. If NVMe was selected, go to step 8. If Fibre Channel (FC) is selected rather than NVMe, go to step 5.
- Select the host initiators belonging to the physical server, and click NEXT.
- Review the host properties, and click ADD HOST.
- PowerStore Manager displays the newly added host object.
- When using Linux 8, auto discovery of host NVMe/FC initiators is automatically done. Select the initiator that has an Identifier value matching the database server’s nqn. Click NEXT.
- Review the request to create the host object. If the request is correct, click ADD HOST.
Repeat this process for each host that belongs to the Elastic Stack cluster.
