- Create Storage Units on the source and destination PowerProtect DD.
- Associate the source and destination storage units using the following commands:
# ddboost association create <Source Storage-unit name> replicate-to <Destination PowerProtect DD IP/FQDN> <Destination Storage-unit name>

- On the source primary server, create a Disk Pool and Storage Unit for the source volume. The volume selected will appear as type “Replication source”.

- On the destination primary server, create a Disk Pool and Storage Unit for the destination volume. The volume selected will appear as type “Replication target”.

- A Storage Unit has been created on the destination NetBackup primary server.

- On the destination primary server, create an SLP with Import operation using the NetBackup Storage Unit created in the previous step.

- Review the Import operation configuration details and save the SLP.

- On source primary server, create an SLP. Add the backup operation and select the source Storage Unit as the destination storage.

- Add the Replication operation. Select the destination NetBackup primary server and the SLP created in step 8 as the destination storage.

- Review the Backup and Replication operation details and save the SLP.

- Create and configure a backup policy using the SLP “Replication_AIR” created in the previous step as the policy storage.
