The electronic record retention requirements, defined by the Securities and Exchange Commission Rule 17 (SEC17a-4(f)), comprises a list of required conditions for storage systems to meet data retention compliance standards. This list includes:
DD RL Compliance mode, when deployed on a Data Domain system, meets the SEC requirements described in Rule 17A, which allows data to be retained on electronic storage media while meeting compliance requirements. From DDOS 7.12, the same level of compliance can be achieved on DDVE and DDVE on-cloud with cloud hardening practices.
