The basic network infrastructure for Azure is a network environment that includes routing, subnets, security groups, network gateways, IP address allocation, and other network requirements.
The following rules apply when using an Azure VPC:
Public-facing Dell APEX Block Storage components are accessible from the external network if the Azure firewall allows it.
The optional proxy server is the only component with an external IP address and is used for the "jump server" method of accessing the Dell APEX Block Storage deployment. Public-facing APEX Block Storage components are accessible only through the proxy server, provided that this is allowed by the Azure firewall. Proxy server usage should first be reviewed by the customers security team.
The private subnet components are isolated to ensure security and speed within the Dell APEX Block Storage environment. Private subnet components are as follows:
