Home > Data Protection > Data Protection (general) > Advanced Anomaly Detection with Data Protection Advisor > Define the Operator
With data sources in place, they must be merged to return results only for clients not protected. Add a Merge operator by selecting + Operator, filter the Operator list for merge, select Merge and click Select. With the Merge operator shown on the custom template screen, link it to both data sources by dragging data sources to the operator. Using the mouse, select a data source, then drag this over the operator and release. This will link the elements together, and an arrow should now appear from the data source to the operator. Do the same for the other data source, and the result of this linking should be the same as shown in Figure 40.
With the operator now linked to the data sources, a condition or a set of conditions must be configured. The two data sources are merged based on the Client field and a condition must be defined where a client’s corresponding Server field is empty. If the Server field is empty, this means that a backup copy of that client does not exist.
Select the Merge operator to display the properties, expand Fields properties to view the list of all available fields and ensure that at a minimum both Client and Server fields are selected. Expand the condition properties to set a condition. Select Edit Condition and select the Server field with the condition of Is Missing as shown in Figure 41. If the server is missing, this means that the client exists in the CMDB and not Data Protection Advisor.
