Abstract
The Dell PowerEdge R7725, equipped with AMD® EPYC® 5th Generation processors, achieved 4 world records in the LDBC (Linked Data Benchmark Council) benchmark.
Linked Data Benchmark Council results
The following World Record results were achieved in LDBC:
- LDBC Results
Benchmark | Performance | Dell PowerEdge Server | World Record |
LDBC SNB | 34949.74 | R7725 | Best throughput score @1000SF |
LDBC SNB | 24.99 | R7725 | Best throughput/price score @1000SF |
LDBC SNB | 15089.13 | R7725 | Best power score @1000SF |
LDBC SNB | 10.79 | R7725 | Best power/price score @1000SF |
What do these scores mean?
We used LDBC to analyze a business intelligence workload on the Social Network benchmark. With the best throughput score, this metric indicates the system’s ability to handle a high volume of queries over a specific period. In other words, having the highest throughput indicates your system is capable of processing the most queries per second. With the best throughput price, this score evaluates the cost of the system by dividing the throughput by the total cost of ownership. This high score indicates better performance for money spent. The best power score indicates the peak performance of a system while evaluating a single query. This metric evaluates the Dell PowerEdge R7725’s ability to handle complex queries. Lastly, the best price per power score assesses the cost of your systems peak performance by dividing the power score by the total cost of ownership.

What is LDBC?
LDBC, Linked Data Benchmark Council, is an organization that has created a standardized benchmark for evaluating the performance of graph data management systems. The key benchmark being analyzed is the Social Network Benchmark which simulates a social network scenario in order to test various functionalities of graph databases. This specific benchmark was analyzing a business intelligence workload. In other words, it targets aggregation and join-heavy queries. In doing so, this process simulates the analytical processing on large portions of the graph.
