A series of test scenarios were performed to fully demonstrate the performance of the systems under various configurations and usage scenarios. These scenarios included testing with and without vGPU acceleration, vGPU accelerated VDI on its own and VDI and AI workloads running simultaneously. Some testing was also performed on Dell 14G vSAN Ready Nodes with NVIDIA RTX8000 GPUs to highlight the differences in performance between different generations of Dell PowerEdge servers and NVIDIA GPU’s and newer software versions.
The following outlines the full list of tested scenarios:
- 15G testing—Dual, VDI Login Enterprise modified knowledge workload plus AI Training with L40 GPU acceleration on both.
- 15G testing—Dual, VDI Login Enterprise modified knowledge workload plus AI Validation with L40 GPU acceleration on both.
- 15G testing—Dual, VDI Login Enterprise modified knowledge workload plus AI Validation with L40 GPU acceleration on both.
- 15G testing—Login Enterprise modified knowledge workload on VDI without GPU acceleration, (for example: CPU only).
- 14G testing—Login Enterprise modified knowledge workload on VDI with RTX 8000 GPU acceleration.
- 14G testing—Login Enterprise modified knowledge workload on VDI without GPU acceleration (for example: CPU only).
