This document provides details of the functional testing of Cloudera Distribution Hadoop (CDH) with Dell EMC ECS through S3 protocol as a secondary file system. Dell Technologies and Cloudera field and sales teams can use the information when engaging with customers who want to use Dell EMC ECS with S3 as a secondary file system (storage) and HDFS as the primary file system (compute).
Quality Assurance Test Suite (QATS Appliance) from Cloudera was used for testing and certifying the functionality and operationality of the latest Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Private Cloud Base version 7.1.7 with Dell EMC ECS (object version 3.6.2.0).
