There are several advantages in deploying Kinetica on Dell PowerFlex systems. Kinetica can ingest a large volume of incoming data into its memory and use Powerflex’s SDS as its persistence layer. Another advantage to using PowerFlex is that it can reduce the requirement for multiple copies of data – as it has high-resiliency and can be used as shared-storage for multiple hosts.
Note: The solution was validated in the engineering lab using HCI with VMware vSphere environment and dedicated storage-only nodes to provide required storage capacity. However, the reference architecture and the best practices that are demonstrated in this paper are applicable to both virtualized and bare metal configurations; as well as on other PowerFlex family of products.
