You can enable RLG on the PowerProtect DD system as follows:
elicense show all
If the license is not applied, update the license:
elicense update
Mtree retention-lock enable mode governance mtree /data/col1/demo
Mtree retention-lock status mtree /data/col1/demo
By default, RLG does not require security user role credentials to perform operations, such as reverting files to an unlocked state, on the RLG-enabled MTree. However, you can add a second level of security by enabling security officer authorization. This setting can be disabled at any time.
To check the status of security officer authorization:
System retention-lock governance security-auth status
To enable the additional level of security:
System retention-lock governance security-auth enable
To remove the lock on the files and directories of the MTree where RLG is enabled, enter:
Mtree retention-lock revert /data/col1/demo/test.txt
where demo is the MTree and test.txt is the file in the MTree.
