This white paper presents options for customers to address infrastructure challenges by leveraging Dell’s Validated Designs to optimize design architectures that meet their specific requirements while saving time, resources, and money. The document is designed to address HPC, AI, and data analytics workloads with a single system or separate systems depending on customer needs. This design approach uses building block options for servers, networking, storage, and software to provide flexibility in design architecture. Baseline designs benchmarked for traditional HPC workloads and baseline designs benchmarked for AI workloads serve as design starting points. Nvidia’s BCM software is used to build and manage clusters as a single entity. Table 1 describes the functional components and building block options.
