To verify the network status, run the show evpn evi
command on a Linux control node.
This command does the following:
- Verifies EVPN instance status associated VXLAN virtual networks.
- Verifies network status for the route distinguisher (RD) and route target (RT) values used in BGP EVPN routes in the EVPN instance (EVI).
- Displays the status of integrated routing and bridging (IRB) and the virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) used for EVPN traffic.
Here is an example of the output:
Leaf1# show evpn evi EVI : 1002, State : up Bridge-Domain : Virtual-Network 1002, VNI 1002 Route-Distinguisher : 1:10.1.1.1:1002(auto) Route-Targets : 0:65201:268436458(auto) both Inclusive Multicast : IRB : Enabled(tenant1) EVI : 1008, State : up Bridge-Domain : Virtual-Network 1008, VNI 1008 Route-Distinguisher : 1:10.1.1.1:1008(auto) Route-Targets : 0:65201:268436464(auto) both Inclusive Multicast : IRB : Enabled(tenant1)
The show ip bgp l2vpn evpn
summary command displays summary information about BGP sessions using the EVPN address family.
