Windows Servers and VMs place the page file on the boot volume by default. Windows automatically manages page file and memory settings. No user intervention is required to optimize memory management. Do not change the default settings unless required for a specific use case. For example, an application vendor might provide guidance for tuning page file and memory settings to optimize the performance of a specific workload.
With PowerStore storage, placing a page file on a separate VHD and separate CSV might provide some storage advantages. The following reasons might not be sufficiently advantageous to justify modifying the default settings.
