To configure the VxRail nodes as transport nodes for NSX-T, perform the following steps.
In the NSX Manager web UI, go to System > Fabric > Nodes > Host Transport Nodes.
Next to Managed by, select the vCenter from the drop-down menu.
Check the box next to the VxRail cluster and click CONFIGURE NSX.
In the NSX Installation dialog box, select transport-node-profile from the drop-down menu and click APPLY.
NSX-T transport node configuration starts.
Note: NSX-T configuration may take about six minutes for a four-node cluster. You may need to click the REFRESH button at the bottom of the page to view configuration status.
When complete, the NSX Configuration column shows Success and the Node Status shows Up for each host in the cluster.
Note: Since the host overlay VLAN, VLAN 2500, is not yet configured on the switches, the TEP IP addresses are not assigned by DHCP at this point.
