VxRail is a jointly engineered hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) from Dell Technologies and VMware. It is the only fully tested, integrated, and pre-configured HCI system optimized for VMware vSAN software-defined storage and the VMware vSphere ESXi hypervisor. VxRail has a simple, scale-out architecture that uses VMware vSphere and VMware vSAN to provide server virtualization and software-defined storage. A VxRail vSAN stretched cluster spans two sites and continues to function if one site fails or is taken offline.
