Splunk deployment

  • The deployment process varies for standalone and distributed environment. Ensure to complete the deployment process and then proceed to install Dell EMC PowerFlex Add-on and App.

    Standalone Splunk deployment

    In standalone Splunk deployment heavy forwarder, indexer, and search head are installed by default on the same server instance. So, ensure to install Dell EMC PowerFlex Add-on and App on the same instance.

    Distributed Splunk deployment

    In distributed or clustered Splunk deployment, you must do the following:

    • Install Add-on on Heavy Forwarder
    • Install Add-on and App on Search Head
