VxRail nodes must be able to reach a correctly configured DNS server during and after VxRail deployment. The DNS server must include forward and reverse lookup entries for ESXi hosts, and VxRail Manager.
Add forward and reverse lookup records on the DNS server using the hostnames and IP addresses used in your deployment. The DNS entries for the deployment examples in this guide are listed in the following table.
Hostname | IP address |
vxrail01.dell.lab | 172.18.11.101 |
vxrail02.dell.lab | 172.18.11.102 |
vxrail03.dell.lab | 172.18.11.103 |
vxrail04.dell.lab | 172.18.11.104 |
vcenter01.dell.lab | 172.18.11.62 |
vxmgr01.dell.lab | 172.18.11.72 |
omni.dell.lab | 172.18.11.56 |
