  • This document provides details of the functional testing of Cloudera Private Cloud Base (CDP-PvtBase) with Dell ECS object storage through the S3 protocol as a secondary file system. Dell Technologies and Cloudera field and sales teams can use this information when engaging with customers who want to use Dell ECS with S3 as a secondary file system (storage) and HDFS as the primary file system (compute).

    Quality Assurance Test Suite (QATS Appliance) from Cloudera was used for testing and certifying the functionality and operationality of the latest Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Private Cloud Base version 7.1.8 with Dell ECS (object version 3.7.0.0).

    Note: This Cloudera QATS certification is only for the new installation of Cloudera CDP Private Base 7.1.8 with ECS 3.7. QATS certification only validates functionality. Performance testing, upgrades, and replication scenarios were not conducted in this exercise.
