Overview
VMware Cloud Foundation is a true hybrid cloud solution and provides an integrated software platform for customers. Dell Technologies has fully qualified PowerStore arrays as supplemental storage in VMware Cloud Foundation workloads.
This blog highlights how to deploy a three-node cluster within VMware Cloud Foundation and integrate it with Dell Technologies PowerStore systems.

How to...
To begin the process, use SDDC (Software Defined Data Center) Manager to commission hosts.
When the hosts are unassigned and part of SDDC Manager, start deploying the virtual infrastructure workload domain. (We are using vVol in this lab.)
Provide the Virtual Infrastructure Name and Organization name.
Enter the vCenter FQDN, IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and password information. This vCenter will manage the workload domain resources.
The next step is to specify the NSX-T networking parameters, including three NSX-T managers, the VIP, and overlay network. This requires all DNS records to be preconfigured.
Specify the PowerStore vVol configuration, including the VASA provider and user.
Select the hosts to use for this 3-node cluster.
Select the licenses to apply for. Review the objects and summary, then select Finish to deploy.
The tasks are running, creating the workload domain. If a task fails, SDDC Manager allows you to troubleshoot and continue the deployment.
When the tasks are completed, SDDC Manager lists the workload domain.
From PowerStore Manager, the vVol is shown under the storage container with three ESXi hosts attached.
Conclusion
Dell PowerStore extends the boundaries of mid-range storage with unmatched capabilities for enterprise storage. PowerStore integrates seamlessly with VMware Cloud Foundation by delivering a platform that is secure, agile in cloud infrastructure, and easily consumed from a public or private cloud.
