SAP HANA is an in-memory data platform that can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud. Organizations use the SAP HANA platform to analyze large volumes of data and develop and deploy applications in real time.
This solution uses SAP HANA in a tailored data center integration (TDI) deployment scenario on PowerVault ME5 SAP HANA certified storage systems. The guide shows that PowerVault systems fully meet the SAP HANA performance and functional requirements for deployment in existing data center infrastructures. See Validation testing for details.
Using PowerVault ME5 systems on SAP HANA TDI enables customers to:
This guide describes an SAP HANA TDI deployment on PowerVault ME5 series systems. The guide provides configuration recommendations for the deployment that are based on SAP high availability requirements and key performance indicators for data throughput and latency. Topics include:
Note: This design guide describes SAP HANA TDI deployments in physical environments. If you plan to use SAP HANA in virtualized environments on VMware vSphere, see the VMware Virtualized SAP HANA with Dell Storage Solution Guide.
