The Commvault DD Boost Storage Library feature is a simplified native API-based integration between the Commvault data protection software and Dell DD series appliances. With Commvault FPR-11.30.44 and later and DDOS 7.8 and later, this integration allows you to use Commvault software to back up, archive, and recover data to and from DD series appliances without the BoostFS plug-in (file system interface). With this feature, you can take advantage of the high-performance, scalable, and secure deduplication capabilities of DD series appliances to reduce complexity and significantly cut down the time required to begin protecting data.
