Available on later versions of iDRAC7, iDRAC8, and iDRAC9.
SCP Import can also perform firmware updates using Dell’s Repository Update feature using the SCP.1#RepositoryUpdate attribute.
Dell Repository Manager can be used to construct an update repository. For the tool set and more information about the feature, see Dell Repository Manager (DRM) in the Dell Knowledge Base.
Note: This feature requires network connectivity and cannot be performed using SCP over USB.
Note: If the update repository has the iDRAC package, the job will be created and marked completed in the job queue, but the new iDRAC version will not be applied until all other updates and configuration changes are applied. This behavior is because an iDRAC reboot is needed to apply the new firmware image.
Note: If you are importing a SCP file (repository updates and configuration changes) to multiple servers that have different iDRAC versions, updating the iDRAC firmware version first before importing the SCP file is recommended. If this step is not performed, the SCP import job could complete with errors and be unable to apply attribute changes because the older iDRAC version may not support all attributes in the SCP file.
The RepositoryUpdate value should point to a Catalog.xml file in a path relative to the location of the SCP template on a network share. The exact name of the Catalog.xml file might vary upon new repository generation, so check the repository for the correct name.

Example of share layout:
network_share/template.xml <‐ The SCP template.
network_share/repo/Catalog.xml <‐ The Catalog.xml describing the updates repository.
network_share/repo/<repository files> <‐ The repository files needed for updates.
Older versions of iDRAC might generate the attribute as just RepositoryUpdate instead of SCP.1#RepositoryUpdate. The older format is supported on all versions of iDRAC.
