The T560 hosted 120 VMs compared to 80 VMs on the T550 for a 50 percent increase in VM density. The derivation of VM capacity is as follows:
- Total Frame Buffer = Total GPU Memory X Number of GPUs
For the T560 with 24 GB memory per L4 GPU -> 24 X 5 = 120 GB
For the T550 with16 GB memory per A2 GPU -> 16 X 5 = 80 GB
- Number of VMs = Total Frame Buffer / Number of GB per VM
For the T560 -> 120 / 1 GB per VM = 120 VMs1
For the T560 -> 80 / 1 GB per VM = 80 VMs
As shown in the following figure, despite having 50 percent more VMs, the T560 demonstrated a slight increase in average image quality and frame rate across VMs compared to the T550:
An image quality of 1.0 is considered "perfect." The T560 and T550 had an average of 0.987 and 0.988, respectively. The average frame rate is measured in displayed frames per second. In general, frame rate average should be greater than 14, hence this test depicts a smoother user experience on both systems.
