- Deploy VMware ESXI (v7.0 U2) hypervisor a server and then deploy VMware vSphere (v 7.0.2) on top of it and:
- Create Windows Server 2019 image, install Windows 10 image on top of it, and then install all the updates and VMware tools.
- On top of VMware vSphere, deploy Linux Ubuntu with Kubernetes for VDI PostgreSQL monitoring and testing.
- To create a desktop pool, install VMware Horizon View agent on Windows 10.
- Install Microsoft Office, Power BI, and Google Chrome.
- Deploy the testing scenario scripts.
- On a Windows Server 2019, deploy and configure Domain Controller and Active Directory.
- Using Windows Server 2019 image, deploy, configure, and activate VMware Horizon Connection (v8 2106) instance with enterprise key.
- Create an automated desktop pool with a dedicated assignment.
This use case had no reference architecture, since the main purpose was to compare performance when loading the servers with the same workload on the same amount of VM instances.
