With the 24x NVMe switched backplane, the first 12 drives go to CPU 2, then the last 12 drives go to CPU 1. Through the switch, there is technically a 3:2 oversubscription of the NVMe PCIe lanes from the processors. This is because we bring x64 lanes to the PCIe switch which fans out to feed 24x x4 devices (96 lanes). Customers requiring large capacity with the low latency of NVMe will benefit from this configuration.
