There are certain requirements that must be met before deploying CockroachDB. For more information, see Deploy a local cluster in Kubernetes.
- DNS: It is recommended to set up the DNS with all the required CO nodes. The DNS forward zone file used in this solution is available in the appendix section.
- Configure the chronyd service on each of the database nodes to ensure time synchronization among them. Verify that chrony is working and synched by running the following command:

- It is recommended to have connectivity to the Internet, as packages required for installation of CRDB, Kubernetes, and CSI may need to be extracted from GitHub and other sources.
