Document purpose

  • This document describes the VMmark 3 benchmark, and the outstanding performance delivered by Dell PowerEdge servers powered by AMD EPYC processors:   

    • A single-socket Dell PowerEdge R7515 server equipped with the AMD EPYC 7742 processor achieved the highest performance in the 1 Socket Servers – Matched Pair category as of February 8, 2022 with a VMmark score of 9.16 @10 tiles.
    • A single-socket Dell  PowerEdge R7515 server equipped with the AMD EPYC 7763 processor surpassed the previous score as of February 23, 2022 with a VMmark score of 11.34 @ 12 tiles.
    • A single-socket Dell PowerEdge R7515 server equipped with the AMD EPYC 7773X processor with AMD 3D V-CacheTM technology achieved even higher performance in the 1 Socket Servers – Matched Pair category with a score of 12.06 @ 13tiles as of March 21, 2022. 

    Dell Technologies has secured the top three spots in the 1 Socket Servers – Matched Pair category as shown in the following figure:
