Customers can deploy VMware Cloud Foundation environments in various locations to support a variety of multi-site, stretched cluster, and cloud edge use cases by leveraging additional guidance contained in the VMware Validated Designs.

VMware Cloud Foundation 3.9 and later versions support multi-instance management, which allows multiple VMware Cloud Foundation instances to connect using a federation for aggregated visibility and ease of management. Figure 34 illustrates the benefits and features of this capability:
