The replication is configured with the existing backup policy or a new policy.
To configure replication on the existing backup policy:
- Log in to the PowerProtect Data Manager UI with administrator credentials.
- On the left pane of the PowerProtect Data Manager UI, click the Protection drop-down.
- Click Protection Policies.

- Select the existing backup policy.
- Click Edit and click the Back button.
- Select the Primary Backup schedule.

- Click Replicate.
- Add Primary Replication details:
- Replicate Every: Provide the appropriate time.
- Keep for: Specify the number of days.
- Start Time
- End Time

- Click OK.
- Verify that the replicate schedule is created.
- Click Finish.
- Verify that the replication job is created under the Jobs section.
- To run the replication now, select existing policies from Protection > Protection Policies.

- Click Protect Now.
- Asset Selection: Choose one option for ad-hoc protection.
- Configuration: Select the Replicate Now option and check box to select replication storage.
- Summary: Click Protect Now to start replication.
- Click Go to Jobs to view the progress and details.

- Verify that the replication job is successfully completed. Click the details button for detailed results.
