PowerOne incorporates the PowerMax 2000 and PowerMax 8000 storage arrays.
PowerMax 2000 and PowerMax 8000 are built based on Bricks. Each Brick consists of an engine, dual standby power supplies (SPS), and one or two drive array enclosures (DAEs). Odd and even engines share a DAE. Dual Ethernet switches and InfiniBand (IB) switches interconnect to all Bricks. A slide out work tray provides space for a service laptop with power and management network access to the engines.
The following figures show how scaling affects the contents of the two racks, from one to eight Bricks in a PowerMax 8000.
