VxRail hardware

  • The vSAN 2-node configuration is supported with VxRail.

    VxRail supports:

    • Earlier nodes—D560/F, E560, E560F/N, E665/F/N, P570/F, V570/F, and S570
    • Latest nodes—D660/F, E660, E660F/N, P670/F, V670/F, S670, and VD-4000.

    VxRail 7.0.010 and earlier versions support:

    • 4 x 10 GbE
    • 2 x 1 GbE + 2 x 10 GbE

    VxRail 7.0.100 and later versions support:

    • 4 x 10 GbE (NDC, OCP)
    • 2 x 10 GbE (NDC, OCP) and 2 x 10 GbE (PCIe)
    • 2 x 1 GbE + 2 x 10 GbE or 2 x 25 GbE
    • 4 x 25 GbE (2 x 25 GbE on NDC + 2 x 25 GbE on PCIe)
    • 4 x 25 GbE (OCP)

    Note: All 1 GbE is for VxRail Management Network support only; both vSphere vMotion and vSAN require the higher speed network.
