In this deployment option, the vCenter Server is at Site1, but the vSAN witness appliance and the two VxRail nodes are at Site2. An additional ESXi host is required to host the vSAN witness appliance at Site2. The host and the VM witness appliance should be on a different subnet from the VxRail cluster. The vSAN witness appliance cannot be hosted in the VxRail 2-node cluster.
