The VxRail two-node cluster is for special use cases with minimal resource capacity requirements, such as remote sites and small offices. Both nodes are in the same location but depend on a witness that is deployed off this cluster to serve as a quorum.
Figure 11. VxRail two-node cluster overview
VxRail versions earlier than 7.0.410 support a customer-managed vCenter Server option only due to the limited resiliency built into the two-node cluster model. Two-node clusters in VxRail versions 7.0.410 and later support both customer-managed vCenter Server and VxRail managed vCenter Server options.
