Starting with vSphere 7.0, the external Platform Services Controller (PSC) is deprecated. The only option is vCenter Server with embedded PSC. The embedded PSC in the vCenter Server contains all services from the external PSC, preserving the functionality and workflows, including authentication, certificate management, tags, and licensing.
