Full configurations for all the leaf and spines nodes are available as part of Demo Center hands-on-lab (see Support and References for details). These deployment and configuration steps are relevant to Type-5 configuration only.
As part of Type-5 route advertisement, we will show configuration within Leaf2 that relates to the peering with the external router and configuration that shows how to advertise it as Type-5 route. The rest of the configuration can be found in the Demo Center hands-on-lab.
The interface eth1/1/4 on Leaf2 is peering with external router (EXT RTR) and is configured as follows:
Leaf2# configure terminal
Leaf2 (config) # interface ethernet1/1/4
Leaf2 (conf-eth1/1/4) # no switchport
Leaf2 (conf-eth1/1/4) # ip vrf forwarding tenant1
Leaf2 (conf-eth1/1/4) # ip address 172.16.1.2/24
Leaf2 (conf-eth1/1/4) # no shutdown
The peering for route exchange is set up as part of tenant1.
