This R760 configuration supports eight universal drive slots. This figure shows four NVMe drives and four SAS/SATA drives. In this configuration, the NVMe drives connect directly to CPU1, while the remaining four SAS/SATA drives connect to CPU2 through the PERC11 with 1 x8 cable. The universal slots can accommodate both SAS/SATA and NVMe drives. The maximum number of NVMe drives is eight, with the left four drives connecting directly to CPU2 and the remaining four drives connecting directly to CPU1.
