During the deployment process, Dell Technologies works with customers to learn about their IT environment, how they want the new equipment configured, and establishes appropriate times for Dell resources to deploy it in their environment. This planning is critical to effective deployments. For example, when using process mining techniques, the Plan phase of a deployment project was identified as having the greatest impact on total project cycle time, as shown in the following figure:

Figure 5. Process deviations of each phase of the deployment life cycle
- An approximate 24 percent reduction in total planning and project execution time
- An approximate 12 percent reduction in planning tasks needed for delivery and installation in targeted projects
- Early alerts predicting roadblocks, allowing PMs to engage customers in time to prevent delays and effect change
- Adoption of the multiple planning meeting predictor results in greater resource scaling across organizations
- Improved customer satisfaction through more efficient project execution times
- Between seven to 10 days faster to customer equipment utilization
- Increased customer satisfaction and trust through process consistency
