Partnership awareness corresponds to the system of governance, sourcing, procurement mechanisms, and preferred partners. Preferred partners are generally Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and System Integrators (SIs) that ensure enterprise- and facility-level objectives are met in relation to Integrated Edge Management (IEM) and the improvement of edge capabilities.
Awareness helps influence execution and deployment decisions that include the sourcing and procurement of resources, including infrastructure, software, hardware, consultants, and system integrators. It also helps edge capabilities to guide business outcomes.
Awareness provides an alignment between IT and OT objectives for deployment, and coordinates the decisions that are made at enterprise- and facility-level. The model does so by linking leadership decisions—such as initiative prioritization based on benefits and outcomes realization—to individual facility edge capabilities and deployment decisions.
