VxBlock System 1000 and Vscale Architecture are designed to power high-value, mission critical workloads from the core data center to the cloud. However, some customer remote locations need access to corporate data locally but are space constrained or may need local compute for data needing immediate processing.
PowerStore’s AppsON feature, used interchangeably throughout this document with PowerStore X, is ideally suited to meet the needs of these remote locations and customer application data needs. PowerStore AppsON enables applications running on the edge to use the power of Converged Infrastructures in the core data center and the cloud.
PowerStore AppsON can additionally be co-located with the VxBlock System 1000 and Vscale Architecture in the data center, integrating new, modern database workloads and applications, such as VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes, into Converged Infrastructure.
This white paper provides information to integrate PowerStore X with the VxBlock 1000 and/or Vscale Architecture. The PowerStore X may be located at a remote/branch office (ROBO) or co-located (COLO) in the data center with the VxBlock System 1000 and/or Vscale Architecture.
