Overview

  • PowerFlex deployment includes designing and configuring the networking layer based on best practices. This section describes the VMware ESXi-based virtual and physical LAN design that we implemented in this solution.

    Each PowerFlex HCI and Compute node contained:

    • Four 25 GB port connections—Two 25 GB connections were used for PowerFlex traffic. Two 25 GB connections were used for the rest of the network, including hypervisor management, vMotion, VM network, Oracle Restart public, and the private network.
    • One GbE integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC), which is a dedicated iDRAC Ethernet port for out-of-band (OOB) server management.
