Overview

  • This section provides an overview of the architecture and design of the Dell Technologies Oracle Big Data SQL solution on Dell EMC PowerFlex software-defined infrastructure. We implemented this solution in a VMware vSphere-based virtual environment.

    For this solution, the Dell Technologies engineering team tested and validated the Oracle Big Data SQL solution that we deployed in a database environment featuring the following elements:

    • Oracle 19c Grid Infrastructure for the stand-alone server (Oracle Restart)
    • Hadoop cluster
    • Oracle NoSQL
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2019

    Note: We used Oracle gateways to access the Microsoft SQL Server data source from Oracle.
