  • This Solution Guide details a method of using MX7000 nodes as external compute for storage-only nodes in the PowerFlex rack. This guide describes the steps for configuring these MX7000 nodes, defining them as compute-only, and configuring customer switches allowing connectivity to an existing PowerFlex SO rack.

    The instructions in this guide assume that best practices were followed on the deployment and configuration of the MX7000 platform and PowerFlex rack at the customer site. For more information, see Appendix B ─ Technical resources.
