Assign passwords for VxRail satellite nodes

  • Since ESXi is installed into every VxRail satellite node at the factory, a password must be assigned for the root account.

    Use the table in Appendix B: VxRail Passwords to capture the passwords for each satellite node.

    The password rules for the root account for satellite nodes are the same as for VxRail management components, and must adhere to VMware vSphere complexity rules. Passwords must contain between eight and 20 characters with at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one numeric character, and one special character.
