When a new host is being discovered by the system, it is identified by its IP address, description, and other parameters, and will be added to the system automatically based on administrator rules and corporate policy.
Double-click the hosts:
When you click the host IP and move to the Metrics section, you can see metrics such as CPU usage, Disk usage, and Read Write B/s, along with a list of metrics. Now, with no applications running on the VMs, the metrics look like those in Figure 5. However, if we run simple applications such as Phoronix Test Suite to test PyBench benchmarks, the results resemble those in Figure 6, showing CPU usage and disk usage. These metrics can be as detailed or as simple, based on customer requirements.
Now we know where the system is, and by going to processes or services tabs, we can instantly see in real time all the running or stopped services and processes on the system, and we can monitor the environment itself.
For example: a POS system has an OS. Whether it is up or down, the application running on it is a mix of processes and services. Whether it is a POS system, a back of house (BOH), or a warehouse system, we can get a full picture of the processes and services running on it to see its status. It is a complete picture of what is on the system. If there is a Help Desk update or a Windows update, we can track what changed from the time the inventory was run, down to the current status to troubleshoot any problem. It provides version and revision details about POS software. Though this is a small scenario real-life examples can scale to thousands of POS systems, run by any large scale store or vendor.
Centerity CMS² also offers powerful visual screens for data history and statistics, in the form of custom dashboards and graphs. The system can store this data for years to comply with strict regulations in certain verticals, such as defense and government.
