Dell Unisphere for PowerMax uses authentication authority for multi-factor authentication (MFA) with Dell SecurID. SecurID provides time-sensitive tokens that are combined with a user password to verify identity during the authentication process.
Unisphere for PowerMax authenticates SecurID Authentication Manager with the SecurID token. If SecurID Authentication Manager validates the token, Unisphere for PowerMax then authenticates against Local Directory, Windows Active Directory, or LDAP for two-factor authentication.
MFA with SecurID is supported on all PowerMax arrays using external management with the following versions:
