For validation, four tenant VMs are deployed to different VxRail hosts. In this example, the VMs are configured as shown in the following table.
Host | VM name | Segment | IP address | Gateway | DNS server |
vxrail01.dell.lab | app-vm-01 | app-segment | 10.10.10.1/24 | 10.10.10.254 | 172.19.11.50 |
vxrail02.dell.lab | app-vm-02 | app-segment | 10.10.10.2/24 | 10.10.10.254 | 172.19.11.50 |
vxrail03.dell.lab | web-vm-01 | web-segment | 10.10.20.1/24 | 10.10.20.254 | 172.19.11.50 |
vxrail04.dell.lab | web-vm-02 | web-segment | 10.10.20.2/24 | 10.10.20.254 | 172.19.11.50 |
Note: Tenant VM deployment is not covered in this guide.
In the vSphere Client, the VM network adapter on each of the tenant VMs is assigned to the applicable segment per the previous table, as shown.

IP address, gateway, and DNS server settings are configured in the operating system of each VM per the previous table.
