VxLAN networks that enable automatic L2 extension between the racks. A virtual network is automatically created in the fabric to match the port groups added within vCenter as VxLAN networks in the fabric.
Point-to-point routed interfaces enable static or dynamic routing with external routers or when enabling routing with end hosts.
VLAN-based networks are used for local networks within a rack that do not need to be stretched across racks. Typical use cases are for NSX Transport or Routed VLAN configurations.
