  • Splunk and PowerFlex GUI alerts do not match.

    Alerts are not reported in PowerFlex OS 2.6 through REST API call. To fix this issue, it is recommended to upgrade your PowerFlex OS to 3.1 version.

    Less than 10 MB log files rotated in the Add-on

    The default maximum size of Add-on log generated is 10 MB. If log file size is greater than 10 MB, then the file is automatically rotated. Sometimes log is rotated before reaching 10 MB maximum size. This may result in    loss of    log data.

    This behavior does not have any impact on the App or Add-on functionality. For more information related to logging, see Logging-cookbook. 

    Editing Password.conf file is not supported

    The recommended way of updating cluster credentials is from the App UI.

    Directly editing of the passwords.conf file is not supported and this causes data collection not to start.

    Splunk decrypts the encrypted content from passwords.conf. However, Splunk will only be able to decrypt if the content is properly encrypted.

    In case if the user changes the content of passwords.conf, the Splunk rest handler won't work. Hence, the issue cannot be solved in add-on as the behavior is of Splunk.
