  • Due to limited inventory available, the workload and Edge leaf switches are collapsed as one with no spine switches.

    The following characteristics describe the design:

    • Leaf switch and link redundancy using Virtual Link Trunk (VLT)
    • Layer 2 trunk links from Edge Leaf switches to the DCI cloud (see green links in previous diagram )
    • VLANs
    • Jumbo frames – 9216 bytes

    The following networks are configured on the switches and tagged on all switch ports. These networks are carried using trunk ports towards the DCI cloud. The DCI cloud implements the overlay component stretching the networks for vSAN implementation.
